JOHN D. DINGELL MEDICAL CENTER
VA REBRAND
For this group project with Samantha Swol, Rachel Kuehnel, Riley Hamady and Megan Bovee, our client the John D. Dingell VA Detroit Hospital tasked us with a brand update.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT:
We worked with the hospital through a series of meetings, tours, interviews, and research. We regularly met with the clients, presenting our findings and design along the way and using their feedback to make changes and updates to our storytelling, brand identity, mission statement an promise.
IDENTIFYING ELEMENTS:
We took elements from the spirit of the Armed Forces, and tried to incorporate a much of the existing brand identity to both help save money and respect the legacy. We designed a logo system, brand identity, and then applied the elements in multiple ways scaling from small to large.
BRAND APPLICATIONS:
Through multiple review sessions of critical feedback from peers, professors and the clients we then began the brand application process. We thought about the daily interactions our personas would have throughout their visits to the hospital, and created mockups accordingly.
