ECO-FRIENDLY
E-BOOK
An informative eBook designed to guide Southeast Michigan residents toward sustainable living by providing practical tips on reducing waste, reusing materials, and recycling effectively.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT:
I conducted extensive research for the Eco-Friendly eBook by gathering insights from local communities, recycling centers, farmers markets, and environmental experts in Southeast Michigan. This involved meetings, tours of local facilities, and interviews with eco-conscious residents and business owners. Their input was crucial in shaping an effective and engaging resource focused on sustainability and practical eco-friendly habits.
IDENTIFYING ELEMENTS:
I began by incorporating familiar recycling and eco-friendly visual motifs and simple line art to ensure recognition. I developed a cohesive visual system, including a recycling label guide, step-by-step instructions, and a "trash vs. treasure" quick guide for home goods. My goal was to make the design scalable for both digital formats (eBook) and potential print applications to reach a broader audience.
BRAND APPLICATIONS:
I focused on how users would interact with the eBook, ensuring the content was both accessible and actionable. This included creating practical shopping checklists, easy-to-follow recycling instructions, and a visual system that simplified complex topics. The layout, fonts, and imagery were all carefully chosen to encourage readers to engage with the material and adopt greener habits in their daily lives.
